Exhibition of Mariusz Drapikowski’s works in the Ambermoda Gallery
The preview of the exhibition ‘Angels With One Wing’ by Mariusz Drapikowski will take place at the Ambermoda Gallery in Sopot, on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM. The exhibition belongs to the series of Amberif side events and will run until April 10. The exhibition will present the newest collection of sculptures by Mariusz Drapikowski – angels made with the use of stone, amber, silver and crystal.
In our work, in our lives, we are not alone, we need to stand united in order to reach higher and further. In Maria Konopnicka’s words, “we are angels with one wing.” Luciano de Crescenzo wrote, “We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another.” This exhibition is an expression of my gratitude to the people who work together in my studio. I realise that it is the sum of many personalities that makes it possible to produce large and magnificent pieces. I would like to thank my wife, my sons and my staff , the entire team.
In life, I am an individualist but I realise that working together uplifts – this is why I thank everyone who has been
the other wing.
